About DemoANAF.ro
Why does this project exist?
Anyone who has used anaf.ro knows the frustration: pages that take 10–15 seconds to load, unreadable URLs, a design from the early 2000s, zero mobile responsiveness, and — most painfully — frequent downtime exactly when you need to file a declaration.
DemoANAF.ro is a practical demonstration that things can be different. The same public ANAF data, served through a modern, fast, and accessible interface — exactly what a Romanian state digital portal should look like in 2026.
This is not destructive criticism. It is a constructive proposal: here is what it could look like. An open invitation to ANAF, the Ministry of Finance, and anyone building public digital services in Romania.

Gamerina SRL · operator
The platform's operations — hosting, infrastructure, support, MCP subscriptions, and billing — are handled by Gamerina SRL, a company based in Cluj-Napoca. All contractual matters with Pro users (fiscal invoices, e-Factura, GDPR) pass through this entity.

What works?
All data displayed is real, sourced in real time from the official public APIs of ANAF and BNR.
Complete data on any company in Romania — address, CAEN, VAT status, activity status. Enriched with ONRC data: directors, authorised CAEN codes, company status. Live data from ANAF API v9 + ONRC.
Instant search across more than 4 million companies in the Trade Registry, with results in under 5 ms. Full-text search on ONRC data.
3.6 million records of directors, managers, and legal representatives, from public ONRC data. Displayed automatically on each company's page.
Automatic detection of companies in insolvency, bankruptcy, liquidation, or dissolution — from 4.5 million ONRC status records. Prominently displayed in search results and on company pages.
Revenue, net profit, assets, liabilities, equity, employees — last 8 years. Interactive chart + table. Fetched in a single server-side request.
The official National Bank rate — ~34 currencies, instant currency converter. Live data from the BNR XML feed.
Latest ANAF press releases from the official RSS feed, with automatic text extraction from PDFs.
API documented at /api-docs — same data, clean JSON format, with Redis cache. Programmatic access with a Pro subscription.
Light, Dark, and Pink — with browser persistence. Plus a sarcastic mode for connoisseurs of bureaucracy.
Monthly tax deadlines and obligations, with an intuitive mobile selector.
All 651 CAEN Rev.3 codes with instant search — by code or activity description.
Complete directory of treasury IBAN accounts — 48 treasuries × 30+ tax types.
Real-time availability monitoring for ANAF, BNR, and Redis.
What is NOT implemented (intentionally)
The features below require authentication with a qualified digital certificate (USB token) via ANAF OAuth 2.0. They are not implemented because this project is a UX demo, not a functional alternative to SPV.
Personal dashboard, ANAF messages, tax status — displayed as a mockup with illustrative data.
Filing D100, D112, D300, etc. requires SPV authentication.
